Richard Matteson interviews Rick Bassinger, owner of Joe Willy’s, a great burger joint in Rockwall Texas. Rick lets us know a little of the history behind Joe Willy’s as well as how they are involved in the community in Rockwall. If you have not been, you need to go grab a bite to eat for lunch or dinner. They have burgers, chicken, salads and some of the best fries around!

We have been going there for a long time and just love it!
Us too, it is a great atomosphere and the food is delicious!
This is one of our favorite places to take the boys–VERY kid-friendly!
You are exactly right, and we have learned recently just how kid friendly too! 🙂
Thank you Rick for your commitment and service to the community. From the day your started, you have been generous to the community. It’s nice to see pictures of our son scattered about from his Y-team days. You are wonderful about working with a variety of groups to hold parties and gatherings. Your generosity towards groups doing fund raising is tremendous. Now we are looking forward to celebrating our son graduating from Rockwall High School with family and friends at Joe Willy’s. On behalf of the Murphy ABF and the Rockwall High School Band, thank you for being part of our family’s life.
We stopped by Joe Willys for the first time in 2005 when our children participated in sports at the Rockwall Indoor Sports Expo (RISE). After that, we started going to Joe Willys on a weekly basis after every practice. The food and friendly atmoshere is that good! Our kids were greatly disappointed on the nights that we couldn’t make it by Joe Willys, and, as one rare critic put it, “it’s a place where the local yokels hang out,” we say they are some of the nicest and most family oriented ‘local yokels’ that you’ll ever meet! Thanks Joe Willys for your great food and great attitude.
