North Texas preowned home sales were up 7 percent in June — the largest year-over-year monthly gain so far in 2014.
Median sales prices rose 10 percent from a year ago to a record $199,900.
The 9,841 sales last month were more than in any single month in more than a decade.
Sales prices are up 8 percent from a year ago.
At the end of June, 22,333 single-family homes were listed for sale, 6 percent less than by mid-2013.
It took an average of 44 days to sell a house, the shortest average sale time on record in North Texas.
Year-to-date preowned homes sales in North Texas are still down 1 percent from the first six months of 2013, despite June’s strong month.
